You must be the applicant or an authorised delegate to create an online services account. For authorised delegates, the signed authorisation form must be retained by the business and produced if required by the Office of Industrial Relations.
Who is the applicant?
- If the entity type is sole trader, the applicant is the person who is the sole trader.
- If the entity type is partnership, the applicants are each of the partners.
- If the entity type is corporation, the applicant is the corporation.
- If the entity type is other, the applicant is the legal entity. The legal entity is the entity that is recognised as having legal rights and obligations. For example, if the entity is a trust, the applicant is the trustee.
Who is the authorised delegate?
- If the entity type is sole trader: any person authorised by the sole trader to register for an account or submit information using the secure online service.
- If the entity type is a partnership: any person authorised by a partner to register for an account or submit information using the secure online service.
- If the entity type is a corporation: any person authorised by the corporation (a director or company secretary) to register for an account or submit information using the secure online service.
- If the entity type is other: any person authorised by the legal entity.
